For each port, CurrPorts lists information about the process that opened the port. You can reorder the columns displayed on the CurrPorts main window and in the files you save. There can be viruses or key loggers or some malicious softwares in your computer which might be connecting to Internet in background secretly.

There are also many softwares which use Internet without asking for your permission. To see what applications are connected to the Internet or what applications are using Internet, you can use a small utility by Microsoft Sysinternals called TCPView. This is a small and handy utility which you can download here and run. When you run the utility it will display all the applications which are connected to Internet. Ideally, you should disable all the devices under the Network adapters category to ensure nothing gets left out. If you change your mind on the internet restrictions you imposed on your computer and decide to do away with them, then you have to do this: go through the same steps above to locate the network devices, right-click on a device to see the standard options list, and then choose Enable device.

All it would have to do is give me a list of programs or other networked devices accessing the internet, and maybe the percentage of bandwidth and other details too. I'm not sure if such a program exists though. I know what task manager is I know about a firewall but i kneed to see what programs are using the internet at the moment.
